My Everyday Voyage

I am an extremely busy person.

Even those who know me just a little could tell you as much. My friends and family have often said they don’t know how I do it all. So why should I carve time out of my day to write a blog that I seemingly don’t have time for? At the age of 24 I’m still a more-than-full-time student who also has a few odd jobs, runs a student organization (and helps run a few more), has four pets to take care of, pursues hobbies like photography and Pilates on a regular basis, and still tries to have social human interactions outside of the time I spend at school. Why add one more thing?

Well, the answer actually lies in my first statement. Because for as busy as I am, I can never stop dreaming about what is next and what life could be. My crazy schedule is the reason I wanted to start this blog. I wanted to give myself a fun way to connect with other people, to share my story, and to stop and think about the world around me right when life insists on never slowing down. I want to work on my writing and develop my voice.

But my busy schedule isn’t just my motivation. I’m going to be honest right away and let you know that I’m not planning on updating very often, maybe 2-3 times a month to start. But I already have so many ideas of where this blog can take me and I’m so excited for the journey ahead.

Because life really is about the journey, isn’t it? I’ve always liked to believe I am an explorer no matter where I am, be it the wild savannahs of Africa, under the stars in Wyoming, or even just in my small town in Indiana. I can’t wait to share with you all I’ve learned along the way. Join me as I travel through life and share my thoughts and dreams with you. Join me and become an everyday voyager.
