Hey there! Welcome to my blog, Everyday Voyager.
I’m a 20-something adventurer who wants to leave the world a better place than she found it. I was born and raised on the East Coast of the United States, but I don’t stay put that often. I love finding adventures hidden in everyday life and trying to learn new things every day! This blog is my way to share all of that with you, my reader. To do so, I will be focusing on three main themes.
One of my all-time favorite quotes is “to travel is to live”. I have certainly adopted this philosophy into my life. Whether it is trying to visit all 50 US states or volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Guatemala, I am always planning my next trip. I have had the privilage to go on some amazing journeys in my relatively short life and I can honestly say I loved every minute. I want to use this blog to tell stories from my trips, share the tips I’ve developed over the years, and even dream of my next adventure!
There are so many ways to tell a great story. My favorite way is through photography. It is my hope that my photos help me explore not only the places I go, but also the person I’m becoming.
I also have to admit that I am a bit of a story addict. I can’t get enough of books, movies, and television shows. When the characters are well-developed and the story line is just right, I am easily hooked. So I’m sure some of favorite stories will make an appearance here as well.
While all that I have described so far is a large part of who I am, the picture could never be complete without science. I am currently in the process of becoming a zoo veterinarian focused on conservation medicine and research. I don’t even know how to explain how passionate I am about my future career caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. I love spending time in nature and I intend to spend my whole life protecting it. Needless to say, I am so excited to share some of the insights I have gathered along the way.
